January Classes Offered by Jeanne

Saturday, January 2nd–Trance Dance and Maskmaking Workshop with Jeanne  10-5:30 pm.  $60.  Come and begin the New Year with dancing your new intentions for the year and creating a mask to visually represent the new you!  In this class we will begin by identifying our goals for the year. Working with the Spirit of the Dance we will empower those goals through calling in our past present and future soul energies and welcome their wisdom and power back into our bodies and awareness. We will then make a symbolic representation of our empowered self by working with the spirit of the mask and creating its message in form. We will then dance that empowerment into our world in a final trance dance, wearing our mask, our new face that represents our empowered self!  Schedule will be, 10am to 12pm: trance dancing, 12-1:30pm lunch on your own,  1:30-4:00pm maskmaking, 4pm-5:30pm trance dancing.  Come and put the new year energies to work for you through movement and art.  All supplies included!  No prior experience necessary.

Sunday, January 3rd–Journeying Class with Jeanne. 11-3pm.  $30.  This class is for those of you who have already taken the Intro to Core Shamanism training but want further experience in the journeying process.  This is the place to bring your questions and problems.  We”ll be doing as many journeys as time allows.  Be ready to journey till you drop!

Saturday, January 9th–Two year core shamanism training, class 2. 10-6pm.  The two year training IS STILL OPEN for those who would like to attend and begin with class 2.  Class 1 info will be handed out for those who wish to start the training at this time.  In this first year training, the first year is focused on healing ourselves through the Medicine Wheel.  The second year is focused on the healing of others and also includes a maskmaking and fire ceremony class.  Classes meet every three months on a Saturday or Sunday.  $300 deposit required that pays for your first and last class.  Please contact Jeanne for more info.  You must know how to journey and be proficient at working with your power animals to attend this class.

Saturday, January 16th–Drumming Circle Prayer Arrow Ceremony, 3-6pm. This is our annual ceremony of putting our intentions/goals for the year into a “prayer arrow” to help manifest our intentions.  Please bring a stick 6-10inches long and a piece of red cotton cloth to wrap around the stick.  If you made a prayer arrow last year, please be sure to bring it with you, unopened, and we will see what you manifested in your life this past year!  Everyone is welcome!  Donation requested.

Saturday, January 23–Reiki I Class with Jeanne 10-3pm.  $120.  Come and learn this beautiful “hands on” system of healing, drawing upon the universal life force energy. You’ll learn all about Reiki’s origins, hand positions, and will have time in class to practice on each other.   Includes a class manual for Reiki I and II and a Reiki I certificate in Usui Reiki.

 

Sunday, January 24th–Intro to Celtic Shamanism with Jeanne 11-3pm   $50  In this class we will look at the concepts of Celtic belief and how it fits in with our modern world.  What can we learn from the Celtic world?  How do they view life?  Concepts discussed will include the otherworld, betwixt and between, the mists, the hearth and the celtic heart.  This class is a pre-requisite for attending the Two year training in Celtic Shamanism.  You do need to know how to journey to attend this class.  Please bring a drum if you have one.
