January 2011 Class Schedule with Jeanne
This gathering is cancelled due to the wind chill advisory with predicted wind chills of 25 to 35 below zero. Too dangerous! Sunday, January 2nd, 2010 1pm Crystal Healing Ceremony at the Mississippi Headwaters in Itasca State Park I awoke this morning with the knowledge that I am to hold a crystal ceremony at the Mississippi Headwaters on January 2, 2011. This ceremony is to address the call from “Little Grandmother” and the Tribe of Many Colors (www.littlegrandmother.net, www.tribeofmanycolors.net) to put crystals in the waters of the earth to heal our planet and ourselves. Little Grandmother states that we need to charge the crystals with unconditional love, and place them in the flowing waters where the energies will expand up into the air as well as the water and we will spread unconditional love around the world. She states that we must learn to “be” love during these changing times.
So I am asking if you will join me at the Mississippi Headwaters at Itasca State Park on Sunday, January 2nd at 1pm (weather permitting). We can drum and each of us charge our crystals with unconditional love, and then place them in the waters. Perhaps we could meet back in Park Rapids for coffee or cider or a light snack afterwards at Bella Cafe. If there are those of you who would like to meet at Brigid’s House and then car pool up to the Headwaters, please contact me. It would save everyone having to purchase a park sticker. Also, if you have crystals you would like to gift to the waters, please bring them. I will have some extras on hand for those who do not have any crystals to give to the waters. And don’t forget your drum!
I also encourage those of you who live by a river or flowing water, or as you travel about on your worldly journeys, if you could place crystals in the waters of the places where you visit. This is something that we can actually “do” to help create healing in our world. And please, try and release all the fear around our changing world, and “be” the love that changes the world! A Course In Weight Loss, by Marianne Williamson, group now forming at Brigids House!
Marianne Williamson, with the help and support of Oprah, has written a new book called, A Course In Weightloss: 21 Spiritual Lessons for surrendering your weight forever. It is built upon the principles of A Course in Miracles and is really a course in spirituality. It is an intense system of looking at the inside to change the outside.
It is actually a spiritual journey that explores the root of your problems that are causing you to gain the weight back again and again. We will meet weekly for one hour to share and support one another. Cost is $5 per meeting. Facilitated by Jeanne Troge. I am offering a daytime meeting time and an early evening meeting time. Meeting times are Mondays from 10-11am, or Thursdays from 5:30-6:30pm. Please call Brigid’s House at to register or email Jeanne at [email protected]. First Monday class is January 10th, first Thursday class is January 13th. Come and bring a friend! Brigid’s House does sell Marianne’s book.
Saturday, January 8th, Reiki I class, 10-3:30pm, $120. Come and learn this loving “hands on” form of healing. Reiki draws upon the universal life force energy that moves through the practitioners body and out through their hands producing warmth, and deep relaxation. In this class you will learn the history of Reiki, learn the hand positions, we’ll discuss illness and the body/mind/spirit connection, and you will have time in class to practice on one another. You will receive a Reiki manual that includes infor for Reiki I and II, and a certificate in Usui Reiki. (Reiki II is scheduled for February 26th).
Saturday, January 15th, Intro to the Chakras with Jeanne, 10-12:30pm, $25. In this class we will discuss energy and how it works, practice seeing auras, learn about the chakras and their associations and function in our body/mind/spirit bodies, work with the pendulum, stones and essential oils in removing blockages and balancing the chakras. You will experience a guided meditation through the chakras. Understanding the chakras and how they work is the basic foundation for all healing systems.
Saturday, January 15th, Our annual Prayer Arrow Ceremony, 3-6pm. Donation. Come together with others to set your goals for the coming year, discover which power animal will be working with you , along with angels and other spiritual beings. Bring a stick as long as your forearm and a red cloth to wrap the stick in. You may also want to bring some ribbon or yarn to wrap around the stick. We will empower our prayer arrows as we work with our intentions for the coming year.
Saturday, January 22, Core Shamanism IX, Class 2, 10-6pm. This is the second class in the two year training and is your last chance to attend this year’s training. Class will be closed after today. To register, contact Jeanne. [email protected].
