Shamanic Retreat 2012: Honoring our Cosmic Ancestors and Origins

This year’s retreat will begin with supper at 5:30pm on Thurs.  Nov. 1st, and run through Sunday morning Nov. 4th.  Yes, we are adding the extra day you all asked for!   It will be held at Camp Knutson in Cross Lake MN.  Cost is $290 for a double room, and $310 for a private room.  All meals and workshop supplies are included.

This year we have the opportunity to focus on the festival of Samhain, the time of darkness when the veils between the worlds is thinnest.  We will use this time to go within ourselves in the safety of a shamanic community to explore the “otherworld” through the work of the Old Bones Mother.  We will bring our bones to her to be buried so they may be reborn in the spring.  Maskmaking will be an integral part of the weekend and we will share, empower and bless our creations in a fire ceremony.  You will be unveiling the part of you that yearns for expression!

We will also be working with the star ancestors.  At this special time of the year, the veils between the worlds are thinnest, and connection with other dimensions can be easier.  We will again re-energize the crystal grid we put in place last year and will work with it in making connection with our star ancestors and the origins of who we are.  We will also create a new heart shaped crystal grid.  We will work as community, working in unison for bringing in the energies that are needed at this time to fulfill the prophecies.  I will also teach you a technique that was given to me for connecting people to their star origins, actually connecting that energy with the energy system of the body.

I am hoping we can do more work down on the point this year, where the two waters meet.  Last year the high winds prevented us from doing anything at this power spot.

Weather permitting we will also work with the labyrinth, moving through the symbology of the womb, being in darkness prior to birth. I learned a new ritual using the labyrinth when I was in Ireland and we will be using this technique in our labyrinth.  As community we will construct the labyrinth for our use.

We will again end our weekend together with a healing community ritual.  Last year people stated it was life changing for them.  We will again offer this healing with gifts from the earth.

We will do all of this in a shamanic community that has a central, grounded focus, further empowering the energies of the work that we do.  This is advanced shamanic work and you do need to know how to journey (a shamanic technique) and have a good working relationship with your power animal.

There will also be those in our shamanic community who will be offering their talents during this retreat.  You can expect there to be trance dancing, dancing with the elements, drumming, maskmaking,  fire ceremony, sauna and more!  It will all unfold as it should.

We need a minimum of 20 people, maximum of 30 people.  To hold your space, a $150 deposit is required.  You will be sent a registration form if you email me, Jeanne, at [email protected].

Here are testimonials from last year’s retreat experience:

The November 2011 retreat was absolutely wonderful!!   I felt such a strong sense of unity among the members of the group.  This sense of unity, along with respect and appreciation, layed the  foundation for so many incredible experiences. There was definitely magic in the air as we journeyed together, danced, learned and shared. Often  lighthearted laughter overflowed, filling us all with warmth and  love.  I am so gratefull to Jeanne for making this experience possible. Her  incredible gifts and loving heart were truly the core of this retreat.  Diane James

What I would have to say about this retreat is that it surpased any expectations I had and I managed to walk away with such a sense of knowing and purpose.  That clarity of purpose has given me the strength to make the changes I need in my life without fear.  I could also say it was a very uplifting experience (literally).  I certainly didn’t expect to levitate but was uplifted.  Everybody seemed so familiar, it was as if I was attending a class reunion.  The amazing thing is that I still feel very connected to everyone and that there is a part of me still holding the circle there.  I look foward to many more journeys with everyone.

Welcoming. Safe. Warm. Honest. Hearthfelt. Eye Opening. Healing & Transforming.  Elizabeth, GF, ND

The retreat was all about being with like-minded people  who are on the level of oneness where judgment isn’t the issue.  I went  home with a healing of my own.  I plan on being at this retreat next year.  JD of Warren, MN

Thank you all so very much for your love, light and encouragement in offering this retreat.  Last year’s retreat greatly surpassed my expectations.  We were one energy moving in unison for the good of all.

May you all be blessed with the beauty that surrounds you,

Jeanne
